Bought a friends used 11-87 special purpose. No idea of round count, but it wasn’t maintained well in my opinion. Never had a semi auto shotgun before. Please excuse me if I don’t use the proper part names. I replaced the following.. recoil spring, breech bolt buffer?, firing pin, firing pin spring, shell latch, interceptor latch, interceptor latch spring, extractor plunger, extractor spring, forged extractor, all the springs in trigger assembly, both trigger assembly bushings, carrier latch, carrier latch pin, the 11-87 tactical carrier, a 3 rnd Remington mag extension, and a bead sight 18.5 inch Remington barrel with ic. Anyways looking for suggestions about any add ons or other parts to replace. I’m a bit ocd about maintenance so keep that in mind.

The absolute worst factory part on any Remington shotgun has to be the pathetic plastic orange follower in the mag tube - You might consider an SBE or S&J replacement. I would also consider a Choate operating handle and a Wilson or S&J jumbo safety button. Add a set of Grovtec sling swivels if you intend to in stall a sling.  Looks like you have her set up for the next 100,000 rounds!! Great job - Enjoy!!
