Sent my older Bond in for a factory update.
It will not be returned until this mess is over.
That's ok with me. It is a man trying to
keep his crew safe.
Sure am going to miss that little critter.

What was the update?

I've the Cowboy Defender. It's the one model they make without the trigger guard.

Those are great " Get the F*ck off me" guns.  That company has a good reputation from what I hear.  Their entry models are affordable also.

Good news, my little Bond is on it's way home, long before I expected.
You are 100 percent right J.D.. Bond makes some very nice guns.

The update is a new trigger with indents in the sides and a new hammer
with a wider thumb grip.
They also make some other changers inside.
So if you have an older Bond with straight hammer sides and trigger
without indents, this update will turn it into a late model.
The hole thing cost $150, the best $150 you can spend.
Mine is also a Cowboy, with a 5 digit sn.
Check the video on their Web.

When I took my CPL class here in Michigan there was a guy who brought one of those lil buggers for the shooting part of the class. His was in .45 LC and after about 10 shots he was pretty interested in borrowing other peoples weapons for the rest.

Great lil attitude adjusters for up close and personal encounters...

I forgot to say the hammer and trigger are now lighter and smoother,
I think the three best to own would be Remington 870,
Ruger SP-101 .357 , and a Bond in what ever caliber You like.
That's just me.

I would go with a SW Model 60, Mossberg 500 with 20 inch accuchoke barrel and a Ruger Single Six with both cylinders, maybe a bit of cheating lol.

Mine has those updates. So I'm good. I sort of went crazy with the barrels.

Currently I have the following.

4-1/4" .45 Colt/.410 3"
3.5" .45 Colt
3.5" .45 ACP
3.5" .38/.357
3.5" 9mm
3" .44 Spcl (What it came with)
3" .22 LR

Once you learn the trick of the trigger, they end up being pretty accurate out to 20 yards. I'm still debating finding a .22 Mag barrel. All of them were bought used except the .45 ACP. I've about $100 a set on the used ones. It took a lot of patience to get the deals I wanted. Bought the gun at auction a few years ago, new in box.

The 3.5" is the longest you are allowed for CAS. Which I was planning on getting back into until this shutdown.

A different barrel for each day of the week.   How cool is that.
