He who hath ears let him hear.   He who not haveth ears or not heareth let him respond to recalls or get stuck with a POS.

I advise never buy the first issue of anything.   Let the thing be out there for awhile and let others be the test dummy.

Think of all the major recalls on firearms.  Some went months waiting for their guns back after a recall.  Some had to turn their guns in and though compensated for the purchase price were not compensated for the sales tax or other things like shipping or maybe ffl transfer fees.

Some were stuck with guns that worked but were less then reliable and got bad raps on the internet and were thus impossible to get rid of unless at pennies on the dollar.

But most often what happens is the "Latest Greatest Thing" ends up a safe queen.

If you are interested in something let it be out there for awhile and get a high round count.  Pay attention to postings about it as to quality, dependability and effectiveness.  Then after a time and with proper research you can buy with confidence.

The buzz about the 870DM is just that, buzz about another "Latest Greatest Thing" that has no purpose other then to generate sales.    If the idea of that kind of shotgun interest you then of course it may be the gun for you but let others be the test dummy and don't fall for the fact that the 870 has proven it's self because tube fed and mag fed changes everything.

It only took Remington three design attempts to get the .22 model 597 magazines to function correctly.

Great point and more prove I am giving folks sound advice.   Being they have never made a magazine feed shotgun buyers need to wait and let others be the test dummies.
