I have the abovr forarm on my tactical Mossberg 500 and was wondering if it possible to attach a rail to it I can then add an angled forgrip. I know the Hogue forarm is some what soft so I don't to ruin it.

They call it 'overmolded' because the rubber is molded over plastic of some sort. You could attach a rail, but it would not be very stable. If you try to tighten it down too much it might crack the forearm. You might be possible to cut the rubber away, but I'm not sure how deep it goes. A Magpul MOE forearm would be a better choice to put the angled grip on.

Ok thanks. I thought it might damage the Hogue forarm. I think I'll just leave as they are.

I have a Hogue forearm grip for a 20 ga that doesn't fit right. The grip slides around on the fore end tube no matter how tight I secure the nut. Has anyone else seen this with a Hogue forearm grip?
