Hey gang,

New to the forum not particularly new to the gauge.  I loved the shotgun back when it was cool, and still have an unreasonable love for preaching the gospel of the gauge even though it's not the new hotness.  I've been lurking on the forum for a bit and decided to register to take a more active part in convos.  Looking forward to learning from the folks on here!

Welcome Rev.   Jump in anytime but if you are a Preacher please understand that I might not be the only heathen here [smile].

I predict once people get past the Tacti-fool mess that inundated shotguns for the past 15 years and get back to a basic fight gun then many will return to the art form of the shotgun.   I hope there is the kind of information here and the fellowship of the other gun owners that we bring more members

Hey Rev. Matt,
We are all disciples of the Gospel Of The Gauge here. You are among friends. We know what many do not. Specifically:

Nothing says " Get the F' out of my house" like the racking of a 12ga.

JD's right! Racking a 12 gauge definitely induces a pucker factor in some people. (and I'm not talking about your lips). When I was a young patrolman I was with a group of officers conducting a felony car stop. Slightly ahead and right of my position was my Lt. When I racked a round into the chamber of the worse shotgun ever made (S&W 12 gauge) he ducked down and I heard him mumble some bad words. Apparently had the same effect on the suspect. Instant compliance.
We all had a good laugh later on. The Lt. didn't realize anyone had brought out a shotgun. Said he almost sh-t his pants when he heard the shotgun get racked.
