Are there factory recommended intervals for performing maintenance on the Remington 870? Specifically, is there a round count or length of time to replace magazine spring and also is there need to ever change other springs such as carrier dog and sear spring? I did see where if the old spring is 4inches shorter than a new spring its time to change, but wanted to ask about all scheduled maintenance. Is there anything else that's recommended when doing a once over on personal or someone else's 870? Thanks in advance!

JD- is it possible to post an inspection checklist of steps to check while performing said maintenance?

I second the polite request for inspection checklist.  As far as maintenance intervals, I fell into the Glock habit and apply the Glock interval to the 870s I own...after every firing of the weapon, once a month if not fired.
