At the gun show today I bought a used Remington Express that came with a fixed modified VR and a 30” full non-VR barrel. I sold the barrels to a guy for $125 and the beat up wood Express stocks for $10 to another guy. So my next project is starting off for $65.

Good start you just need to polish it he inside rails and the sides of the carrier . and the face of the hammer and it will be as smooth as a baby's bottom. As for the outside depends on your taste .leave it as is . bead blast and parkerize less rust that way . or go whole hog after that and ceracoat the thing and it will never rust as long as the ceracoat lasts . happy 🔧 wrenching.
