How u doin? I love when I travel and people tell me that I don't have a New Jersey accent. I tell them the folks here in Jersey that talk like that are just escaped New Yorkers. Sorry Dave[smile]
You are right! The 28 years went by in a flash. Loved going to work every day. Went to NYC right after 911 as supplements to NYPD. Did crowd control with protestors on Times Square (Bet that didn't make the news) secured firehouses and even managed a gun collar (NYC term for arrest).
I figure I'm good for a couple more years of work until my wife is ready to retire. Then I'm out. No need to stay here with the taxes we are being charged.
PA is looking good. My mom has a place in Florida near Tampa. Bunch of options on the table.

PA is getting pretty liberal. There might be more space but there still are a lot of people.
Have you ever considered, Nebraska, South Dakota or Wyoming?

Hey Range. Boanerges is right about PA. Went to Erie a couple weeks ago. First time in a couple years. Figured I'd get a trout fishing trip in there. Found the creek, set my gear up, threw about a dozen casts and then about a dozen kids came jumping in the creek. Thought I was under attack! Drove about 20 minutes to another spot I knew about. Hoped it was fishable. They did it to me again. Kids already in the water, doing what they do. Kill my fishing! Knew of more places but figured it's still summer vacation
and the kids can ruin my day closer to home.
Erie is just one place in a big open state. But you're going to have to check it out. My granddaughter lives in Philadelphia. You've been to NYC, same thing smaller scale. If your looking for room and want your space, like Boanerges said there's a bunch of people in a bunch of places in PA.
He's right too about Wyoming but that's one hell of a jump. I don't know what I'm still waiting for. Like the kids say, "Just do it." Think I better listen. Time keeps getting by me.

Stay well guys.

Trout, pronghorn, black bear, white and mule deer, moose, elk and a whole lot more in Wyoming.
I am in the north west corner of Nebraska. Not to much for trout or other fishing but Wyoming and South Dakota out of state fishing license aren't to costly. Though hunting here is mighty good. White and mule deer, pronghorn, some elk, turkey, small game, upland and water fowl.

DetDave,
My daughter also lives in Philly. Going there on Friday. Looking at venues for her wedding. My guess is when we move we won't be too far from Philly due to the possibility of grand children.
I'm an Atlantic fisherman myself. Also like to trudge around out in the field for pheasant and deer. PA is starting to sound really great.  Time will tell. Unless I hit he powerball tomorrow night!

Out west is really great. Was out in Denver last year. Liked it and the surrounding area. Just too far from the family.
