I want an 870P. This will be a working gun. If I could buy just the receiver, I would. Because....
1. I’ll be putting a Magpul SGA stock on it and some aftermarket forend. If I end up with a nice one with nice wood, I’ll be highly tempted to leave it alone, and get another for this build.
2. I’ll be getting a different magazine extension too, so I would just be taking the Remington one off anyway.

Thus, I was thinking about a police trade in 870P if they still are available in this day and age of rifles replacing shotguns in patrol vehicles. 😡😡😡

So, a beat to death stock/forend is no issue for me. I just want a sound gun.

Where can I find such a beast?

Thanks in advance... 👍

You could go on the internet websites like Gunbroker, or your local gun trading site.A place that lists itself as Police Supplies is also a good place to start. Gunshows are also a good place to check. I've picked up two this year marked Police Magnum for $200 each. Usually filthy on the inside and banged up on the outside but mechanically sound.
Good luck!

Lol Ive been on the receiver only kick for awhile. I try to get something for nothing then I part it off right there at the gun show till I’m walking out the door with just the receiver only. A lot of times I’m starting a project for less $65 and once I got a beat up receiver free just horse trading parts.

I'll agree with the police supply store.  Even if they don't have something in stock they often know where the trade-ins are.

I searched online for a “Police Supply Store” to no avail. At least, I didn’t find any that sold firearms. Can anyone provide a link to such a store?
Thanks in advance.
