Picked up this old 25 year old field 20ga. Express model for a platform to do a father/son youth shotgun build together. Then did a total rebuild and make over.

Looks good!  I like it that you left it nice and simple for him and didn't clutter it up with a lot of stuff.

Thank you! I kept the outside appearance pretty simple but shortened it up for a littler dude.
On the outside I swapped on an 18.5” Remchoke barrel with a 12” LOP stock.
On the inside it got a new magazine spring, aluminum follower, new sear spring and 1100 carrier spring. I rebuilt the bolt, cleaned up the firing pin, installed a new firing pin spring, new exractor spring, forged extractor, a magazine cap with a swivel, and a jumbo head safety.
It should be set for him and if he should want to pass it down in the future.
