Been looking at this for years. I am really thinking about it more and wonder if anyone has one of knows any negatives about it. Specifications Output / Runtime -- White Light High 300 lumens / 1 Hour Med 60 lumens / 4 Hours Low 15 lumens / 13 Hours Weight w/Batteries 2 .3 ounces Batteries Li-ion Integrated
*Runtime per ANSI standard
Description 2211-A-BK-PLM 2211-A-BK-PLM 084871325318
The rechargeable SureFire 2211® WristLight is a lightweight, cutting-edge tool that provides hands-free tactical illumination for a broad range of lowlight scenarios—including use with a handgun. When strapped to your support-side wrist, the 2211 automatically aligns with a handgun when the weapon is held with a standard two-handed grip, projecting sufficient light for threat identification at close to medium range in low light and darkness. The WristLight’s broad MaxVision Beam™, created by a precision faceted reflector that shapes the LED’s output into a seamless wall of white light, is generated at three levels: 300, 60, and 15 lumens. The first two output levels are bright enough to overwhelm an aggressor’s dark-adapted vision, providing a tactical advantage, and the lowest output level is perfect for tasks that don’t require so much light, such as loading gear. The output sequence is user programmable to go from high to low or from low to high, whichever you prefer. There’s even an optional 2211 WristLight Conversion Headstrap accessory (sold separately) that allows you to convert the WristLight into a headlamp, for tasks where you need both hands and the light source a bit farther back, such as working on an engine.
The recoil-proof, virtually indestructible LED’s output is controlled via an easy-to activate, ergonomic pushbutton switch on the WristLight’s rugged polymer body. The LED is powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that’s easily charged using an included micro-USB cable—there’s even an integral LED fuel gauge that lets you know when the WristLight needs charging. For the versatility of a variable-output illumination tool that’s always on you because it’s strapped to your wrist, the 2211 is in a class by itself—a class literally created by SureFire!
Features Straps to support-hand wrist, via an adjustable nylon band, for instant access to 300 lumens and automatic alignment with pistol Precision faceted reflector creates perfect MaxVision Beam™ that's wide and evenly dispersed Ergonomic pushbutton switching activates three levels of useful light: 300, 60 and 15 lumens; activation sequence is user programmable to go from high to low or low to high Fuel gauge indicates remaining battery power Constructed from high-impact polymer Powered by a single rechargeable lithium-ion battery

I ordered ten of these. One for me of course and 9 to put on the store. On problem is the Manufacture Authorized Price (Map). As a Surefire Professional Dealer I have a sales agreement with them and will not violate it. So, mine will be priced at the MAP which is the lowest price they allow. We are also not authorized to sell on e-bay but I see them there and my sales rep says they are working on that issue and will pull the dealer pricing for anyone they catch. There are also colons out there and hard to tell as the people selling them even call them Surefire. The Surefire with the Watch is $199 but some clown has them on e-bar for $16.99. Sad thing is some guy will buy one and think he is getting the real deal.

Just added the one with the SF watch to the store. Not the $700 + Luminex watch but the one with the Surefire Watch. Have them at the map of $179.

My son in law and I both did some night shooting last week. The wrist light not only works with handguns but was just as effective with my shotgun and my Thompson. Was not even thinking of the application for long guns with this light. He loved and flew back to VA with one.

The British SAS used a similar concept many years ago. Our training company brought the concept to the USA and it was "the thing ® ," for a while. And then weapon mounted lights gained popularity and it was kind of forgotten by most teams. Both concepts have their merits.
It is nice to see this in such a compact package! Back to work...

Oh these look very interesting. I could see one sitting in the bedside table and in the car ready to slip on when you need to go "walkabout" to investigate bumps in the night. The lumen range is perfect for a night light. I think 300 lumes is a good maximum, at least for me. Bright enough to see everything and dazzle someone, but not so bright that it reflects terribly off walls and foliage causing sight effecting glare and washout.

What I like is that it lines up with hand guns and long guns and it rechargeable. I can charge it with my cell phone charger or computer.

Does the head move or is it a preset at an optimal angle for handgun use?

It is set but works with handguns and even long guns. The one with the Surefire watch works the same.
