I had civil liability on my mind enough when I was younger that I bobbed the hammer on my GP100. But now I don't care. That being said I would not run a Stars & Bars slide cover on a glock, but all that stuff is a waste of money anyway IMO - if it doesn't improve your performance. Although I do like the slide cover I saw recently with a cross on it.

That is sort of my view.  If it doesn't improve your performance it doesn't belong on a fighting gun as it is just one more thing to worry about if the situation goes South.  And truth be told in many, if not most, cases the money spent on the tactical toys would be better spent on ammo and training.  I tell my clients that feel free to tack on whatever you want to your firearm but understand every mod you make can become an issue in court.

Agree 100% with everything you said. I've recently switched to my 870 for primary HD choice and I'm training on my own as time permits, but my son and I need to take a course soonest. I need to have muscle memory for fighting and manipulation. Plus my night vision isn't what it used to be. That led me today to order another barrel w/ Mepro sights from JD for a song. Added the LT Racker as well, it'll come in handy at the farm, also for a song. He could be going retail and higher like everyone else out there, glad to have him as a resource.

It seems their news media is also typically ignorant of firearms.  The cops don't know how to mount a shoulder weapon,  and the news calls it a "pump rifle".   Nah, they don't need any help.
