I've been playing with this one from this summer and have enjoyed it very much. A very light and versatile package for a 7.62.  I have the other battle rifles in the safe and the SCAR has the complete optics ready feature set and modern ergonomics weighing in at 7.9 lbs.

I'm sort of old school with the 7.62 battle rifle, with most of my experience running a G3.  How is the recoil on the SCAR since it is such a lightweight gun?

I'd say the recoil is similar to a FAL with the gas adjusted light and a bit less than a M14. Much less than a stock HK91.  I find the HK91 buffer at least in mine doesn't work really well so I'm testing the Bill Springfield buffer this weekend.  The SCAR handles very well compared to the other battle rifles and is a worthy, if expensive, successor to the classic rifles.
