The Gophers are back.  I had to dispatch one but have not seen anymore from that same burrow. My .410 did the job as I hate using poison.   I also hate killing the little guys and their small hole does not concern me, however, my K9's turn that small hole in one large enough to trap a mower tire.

What do you use for pest ( 4 legged) Control?  Here is a Poll.  You can select more then one option and post in a comment with more about what you use.  For example, if you check shotgun you can post in the make model and gauge you use.

Chipmunks.  I have about a half dozen tennis ball sized holes in my yard and under some decorative rock walls, etc.   Wife says we need a big owl to take care of them.  I suspect there are some moles as well.     Short of using my desired remedies, which would undoubtedly have the neighbors aghast,  what works for these burrowing critters?

This works for Chipmunks also.   You can get it at home depot.  I used some in a friends yard as she was town and could not use a firearm.

Well, for varmints, I use .223 or 12 ga. For vermin, such as you are encountering, .22 with Colibris or air gun, before the kid ruined it.

Poison or traps is the preferred choice for us.  Just seem so much more efficient when it comes to one's time.  A few pellets in the tunnels at various points and then go back inside with the air conditioning.

I had to resort to that this week as a Gopher set up housekeeping in my Garden.  I couldn't use a firearm due to risk of taking out my Egg Plants at one of his holes or my Okra at the other hoke he was using.  Another one is right under my Range Back Stop, big mistake there Gopher Cong.
